The Magical Wellness Hideaway offers a curated journey of relaxation and renewal in complete privacy within one of Gilpin Hotel’s Spa Suites or Spa Lodges.  

Nestled in the serene beauty of the Lake District, Gilpin Hotel’s Spa Suites and Spa Lodges will transform each stay into a healing escape, where guests are invited to press pause and simply be – while Gilpin takes care of everything else. 

Each Hideaway is an exclusive sanctuary with private spa features including outdoor hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and luxurious spaces, all enveloped by nature and shielded from the outside world. Guests will be personally looked after by a dedicated Hideaway Concierge, with spa treatments delivered in-room by therapists trained in safe touch therapy by the Amethyst Trust – ensuring sensitivity, compassion and expert care. 
What the Magical Wellness Hideaway includes:  

• Private Spa Lodges with steam rooms, saunas, treatments beds and outdoor hot tubs nestled in the Lake District countryside  

• A three-day itinerary including—a visit to Pure Lakes (Gilpin's Lake District based skincare partner) to create your own bespoke products—in-room spa trails—immersive relaxation with an in-room Spa Hamper—one meal at the stunning dining in the Michelin starred SOURCE and one meal in the Pan Asian Gilpin Spice. (Not including drinks)

• Private in-room spa treatments using beautiful natural products from Pure Lakes or ESPA

Zoë Cunliffe, owner of Gilpin, shares the personal motivation behind the initiative:  
“The idea for this package started with spa breaks for people with cancer as there are so many restrictions if you're undergoing chemotherapy, both in time and in the physical sense, and sadly spas don't always respond well to treatments for cancer patients (some even turning people away). 
 
"Our Spa Suites and Spa Lodges are already very private with their own spa facilities, so are perfect for a bespoke, personal escape where you can really recuperate and pause the world in complete peace. Not everyone is comfortable sharing a spa space with strangers, so we have tailored the Hideaways so that everything is in the seclusion of your Spa Suite or Spa Lodge, and have built in spa elements which can be changed to suit you. 

"Our therapists are incredibly passionate about this Magical Wellness Hideaway -some of them have lost family to cancer so it is very close to their hearts, as it is for us having lost both of Barney’s parents to cancer in the last five years, as well as close friends undergoing treatment. We want Gilpin to be a place where people feel cared for, safe and truly seen safe in the context of their diagnosis, and seen as a person.”
